As an Early Learning Center we offer a structured curriculum for all of our age groups. Parkersburg Day Nursery attempts to facilitate learning with your child’s abilities in mind through learning centers. Our schedules and plans are flexible to meet the needs of the children. We plan our activities with the skills and needs of the children. The skills we enhance are attention spans, fine motor skills, the emotional need to belong, the need for concrete experiences, and large motor skills.

Parkersburg Day Nursery provides a balanced diet with many vegetables and fruits, whole grains, fiber, healthy fats and oils. We participate in the Child and Adult Care Food Program sponsored by the Food and Drug Adminstration and follow the West Virginia State guidelines for feeding children in childcare. We offer breakfast, lunch and an afternoon snack at no extra charge.

Our newly furnished playground has safe Little Tikes and Step 2 play equipment. We are proud to offer a rubberized surface with a separate appropriate area for infants.

Students participate in many programs during the year… Easter Egg Hunt; Trick or Treat; Picnics and Graduation; Day of the Young Child; Health Fair at the Mid-Ohio Valley Health Department; Trike-a-Thon for St. Judes Hospital; Sheriff’s Picnic; Hop a Thon for Muscular Dystrophy and vacation Bible School.

Special events included Picture Day, Safety Week, 4th of July Party, Ice Cream Social, Thanksgiving luncheon, Christmas program and pizza parties.
